Grants Available Through Active for Life Program

A new program, Active for Life: Improving Physical Activity Levels in Adults Age 50 and Older, is a four-year, $8.7 million grants program that will provide technical assistance and support for up to eight grants for local, state, or regional organizations. Grantees will work with one of two model strategies to help participants incorporate physical activity into their daily routines. The School of Rural Public Health (SRPH), part of the Texas A&M University System Health Science Center, will administer the program,which the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation supports.
