February 22, 2007

Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs, yesterday announced plans to launch a national plan to rehire retired national employees.

Details of the plan will be announced today at a Press conference to be held by the Presidential Affairs Ministry, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Emirates Academy and other public and private entities.

Shaikh Mansour said the initiative was in line with the directives of the President, His highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to absorb national talents and prepare them for participation in the comprehensive development drive. The initiative is also supported by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

“Our country needs the thought, efforts and experience of its citizens, specially at a time when it is entering an era of ambitious development,” Shaikh Mansour said.
