On the 5th of April at 7.00 p.m. in the North Pavilion of IFEMA Conference Center, the inauguration of the World NGO Forum on Ageing took place.

On the 6th of April at 10.00 a.m. the panel discussions, roundtables and workshops began. The NGO Forum sessions have continued through the evening of the 9th of April.

The 7th of April is World Health Day which has been be celebrated at the NGO Forum.

On the 8th of April, at 8.30 p.m. next to Pavilion 2, there was a spectacular open-air theatrical event with fire works . (free event open to public)

The NGO Forum ended on the 9th of April. On this closing day of the Forum, a Parliament of Older Persons took place. Well-known persons from Spain and the international arena answered questions which have been formulated by older persons worldwide.

It is estimated 4000 persons will attend the NGO Forum prior to the Second World Assembly on Ageing. This number includes registered persons, speakers, and volunteers.
