Anti-Aging Middle East launched in Dubai

AME Info, UAE

July 13, 2003

To be held in April 2004, 'Anti-Aging Middle East' will bring together world leaders in anti-aging biotech and alternative healthcare to jointly tackle the increasing global dilemma of aging, its related health problems, and the escalating costs of treatments that have already hit the US$700 billion a year mark worldwide.

Dubai has been chosen as the latest major city to host the international conference which has already been staged in Spain, Belgium, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico, Australia, Japan and the US. With its massive investment in the healthcare industry and rapidly increasing population, Dubai is the obvious venue for the latest in the 'Anti-Aging' series.

Following the pattern set by previous conferences, Anti-Aging Middle East will have one key premise - to make an impact on healthcare in the world by focusing on the diseases of aging.

'The degenerative diseases of aging are an ongoing concern to medical practitioners universally,' explained Charlotte Bailey, Project Manager with Streamline Marketing. 'By the year 2025, the over 80 age group will represent 30% of the world's population.

'However, if the aging process can be slowed, more than 50% of all diseases can be eliminated and this conference will go some way to heightening the problems and looking for solutions that will affect every one of us in years to come.'

The truly international forum will take place from 19-21 April 2004 at the state-of-the-art Dubai World Trade Conference Centre. The conference will address disease prevention as well as treatment solutions and presentations will cover the most popular therapy options sought by patients seeking to improve their quality of life including: surgical and non-invasive methods to slow the aging of skin; the latest obesity prevention and weight management techniques and new insights for optimal maintenance of physical vitality.

Alongside the conference will run a comprehensive exhibition showcasing the latest anti-aging products, services and treatment options. Pharmaceutical companies, private clinics, hospitals and medical-related products and services are amongst the wide variety of exhibitors associated with this field.

'Principally, Anti-Aging Middle East aims to encourage research, education and public awareness to help change the world's perception of the anti-aging process,' added Bailey.

'We expect all healthcare professionals who are keen to be educated in the latest approaches and treatments in anti-aging to attend the three-day event where they will discover the latest treatments and therapeutic protocols to slow, even stop and reverse age-related diseases.

'Delegates will also receive analysis on research that could change the face of healthcare; innovative new treatment methods and diagnostic techniques now being successfully employed in real-life situations; safer hormone therapies and updated information on pharmaceuticals.'

Anti-Aging Middle East is organised by Streamline Marketing in association with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). With nearly 12,000 members in 65 countries, A4M is the world's only professional organisation dedicated to advancing research and clinical trials that enhance the quality and extend the quantity of the human lifespan.
