Humana Expands Distribution of its Medicare Products

Humana Inc. has established two business partnerships to increase the geographic presence of its Medicare products. 

USAA, a financial services company based in San Antonio, Texas, will offer Humana's prescription drug plans to its 750,000 Medicare-eligible members. 
Des Moines, Iowa-based American Republic Insurance Co. will offer Humana's Medicare Advantage private fee-for-service plans and, in select areas, Humana's regional PPO plans, to its 140,000 Medicare-eligible policyholders. 

Terms of the deals were not disclosed. 

Louisville-based Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) is one of the nation's largest publicly traded health benefits companies, with about 7 million medical members.
