Saudi Arabia: Municipality Election in Saudi Arabia

By Hassan Ben Misrea Al Osami, AL-Watan newspaper

December 3, 2004

Nothing can stop a determined older man. Shik Dafi Ben Mohamed Al Dosari, 105 years old, took part in the recent elections. He recorded his name in the constitutent archives located in the Dawaser and Dawadmi Valley. He said that he believes the elections are important and serve his homeland. He hopes that the election goals are achieved.

Al -Watan newspaper interviewed some older persons in the Dawaser Valley election center. The reporter noticed an old man pulling his crutch toward the election center. The man, Faraj ben moner ben shafie Al-Dosari, is over 70 years old but his disability did not prevent him from recording his name in the constitutent archives. He considers himself a conscientious citizen who is glad to see his country move toward greater development and growth. Also in the Dawadmi Governorate, Al-Watan observed other aged persons entering their names in the constitutent archives so that they could vote and make their country better.
