Regional Activities toward a Convention for Older Persons

 

UN Member States have organized five economic commissions around the five regions of the world. As they see the growing impact of older persons on social and economic issues, some regions are responding with ideas for a Human Rights Convention. In this section, GAA looks at the actions that each regional commissions is taking to support a Human Rights Convention on Ageing. 

UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC)
ECLAC is the most active region toward a Human Rights Convention on Ageing.
